Tamworth is the ‘epitome’ of live music and the industry’s comeback

Tamworth’s country music festival will inject more than $60 million into the city’s economy over the next ten days, which is important to the recovery of the live music industry, according to festival director Barry Harley.

Harley told Sky News Australia he is urging viewers to support the industry following its pandemic success, saying the Tamworth festival is the “epitome” of live music.

“If you have the opportunity to get involved with a top-ticket show, or just show up and be a fan of some of the free shows, or throw a few bucks at a busker, all that support for the industry will be ensuring the future of the industry and Tamworth in the future.”
