South Korean military apologizes for North Korean drone incident

South Korea’s military apologized on Tuesday (27 December) for failing to shoot down North Korean drones that crossed into the South’s airspace a day earlier, and pledged to secure anti-drone capabilities. Kang Shin-chul, a senior official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the drones, each about 3 meters long, were too small to be easily intercepted.
