
If there’s an excuse to celebrate something, now is the time. With the Christmas festivities over and the new year upon us, a glass of a perfectly mixed cocktail would do the trick to end the year.
These recipes add a fun holiday twist and are perfect for holiday cocktail hour.
Champagne margaritas
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. fresh lime juice
- 1 c. silver tequila
- 1/2 c. orange liqueur
- 1 bottle of champagne (about 3 cups)
- lime wedges, for the edge
- salt, for the rim
Indications
- Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
- Run lime wedges around the rim of each champagne glass and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Divide the daisies between flutes and garnish with lime slices.
Blueberry mimosas
Ingredients
- 1 lime, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 c. sweetened cranberry juice
- 1 bottle of champagne
- 12 fresh blueberries
- 4 small sprigs of fresh rosemary
Indications
- Line the champagne flutes with lime and dip them in sugar. Pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice into each glass and top with champagne.
- Use a toothpick to poke a hole through the blueberries. Thread the rosemary skewer through the blueberries and garnish the mimosas.
Mimosa margaritas
Ingredients
- 2 c. Orange juice
- 1/2 c. tequila
- 1/4 c. lime juice
- File wedge, for filing glasses
- Coarse salt, to bind glasses
- 1 bottle of champagne or prosecco
- Orange and lime to serve
Indications
- In a pitcher, combine the orange juice, tequila, and lime juice and stir to combine.
- Rim the rims of the glass with lime and dip in salt. Pour in the orange juice mixture and top with champagne.
- Add sliced oranges and limes to glasses and serve.
Tequila Sunrise Mimosas
Ingredients
- Orange wedges, for the border and garnish
- Sugar, to rim the glass
- 2 oz. tequila
- 1 bottle of champagne
- 1/2 c. Orange juice
- Few splashes of grenadine
Indications
- Wash the glasses with an orange wedge and dip them in sugar.
- Into each flute, pour 1 ounce of tequila and finish halfway with champagne.
- Finish with orange juice and a splash of grenadine.
- Garnish with an orange wedge and serve.
